This small Italian business is a nice change from the chain restaurants that are starting to take over the Malden burbs. This landmark has been in operation for many years. The menu is mostly Italian with nightly specials. The menu includes, pizza, pasta, antipasti, fruits de mer, chicken, and American dishes also. Portions are hearty and waitstaff are knowledgable and attentive. They have KENO here. Parking across the street.

It is simple here. It's a pub, with a pub menu. Burgers, wings, tips, salads, chowda, etc. You get the picture. They have high tops and Keno. Its a local place. Very straight. After dinner, they have live music and they can draw a crowd.

CitySide attracts an after-work crowd with bargain food specials at the bar (check out the weekday happy-hour menu, with some items starting at $1.95). Sporting events are always on the numerous TVs, but on Sundays, the NFL takes over: Every game is televised. There's also continuous televised trivia, and video games for the fidgety. Best of all, Bud and Bud Light drafts are $2 at all times.

One of several in the Boston area, the Dockside Restaurant in Malden is located on Route 60, but can easily be missed (it's a block or two east of Main Street at Ferry Street), and parking can be difficult to find. It's an easy 15-minute walk from the Malden Center Orange Line subway station. Lots of menu choices; steaks, burgers, pizza, sizzling fajitas, salads and grilled entrees. Very popular with families (kid's entrees at $4.95 with unlimited soda refills). Over a hundred TV screens for every sporting event. Luncheon specials (11:30a.m. - 4:p.m.) include an 8 oz. sirloin steak with a potato side for $6.95 or fresh haddock (baked or broiled) for $7.95. ^[1]
